The Hill and Wood

Hailing from Charlottesville, indie-rock sentries The Hill and Wood are one of Virginia’'s most critically adored new-fangled bands. Led by Sam Bush and accompanied by Juliana Daugherty, the projected has shifted from their original folk-pop roots and integrated themselves into a more multifaceted and stratified sound. The music’'s foundation rests on good songwriting, strong melodies and soaring harmonies.

Since launching their first full-length album in November of 2011 and their latest release, Opener in the fall of 2014, The Hill and Wood has toured the country, playing SXSW, CMJ and other festivals as well as recording a Daytrotter session. Their sound has grown but has stayed sincere and has been compared to the likes of Wilco, Andrew Bird, Belle and Sebastian and Sharon Van Etten, although they no make no guarantee to remind you of any of these people.

Their new album, "When You Go" is out now on Randm Records.
